Olwyn Scott was born and raised in Western Australia, Olwyn is now based in Perth and comes to Hyden regularly. The 10th of November 2017 marked a very special occasion, as it was her 203rd visit to the Lace Place as Curator.
As a former Teacher and Award winning Lace Maker, Olwyn has the magnificent skill not only to create Lace but to enthrall you in the extensive history of the collection and tell you about lace of over the world. She has won many local, national and international awards for lace making. Most recently, she won the first price at the International Lace Biennial, held in Sansepolcro, Italy, for an 11 piece panel, depicting the emancipation of women.
